Shinola / Night and Day

Shinola, 2018.

A large milk acrylic light box with vinyl image of the Detroit skyline was connected to a custom LED controller designed by Smooth Technology. The program ran on a repeating time lapse of a day cycle growing from dark to light in around 60 seconds. Simultaneously, an edge lit moon dial rotated above a set of Canfield Day/Night 38mm watches.
